LATEST WORK
Mikindani
Mikindani lies on the shores of a lagoon north of Mtwara in Southern Tanzania. In this new film made for Mikindani Museum we can look at life in the town through the eyes of its people.
The film supports the oral history activities of Mikindani Museum, Makumbusho ya Mikindani. (‘Makumbusho’ is the Swahili word for a place of memories.) The film is presented and narrated by Somoe Robert, the museum’s Manager.
Entry to the museum will always be free, so the film will be distributed to encourage donations — from funding bodies in the UK as well as from individuals — for the continuing development of the displays and activities.
Oriel Môn
Oriel Môn is a museum and art gallery in Llangefni, Anglesey. The museum tells the story of Anglesey over thousands of years. The art gallery showcases contemporary artists and makers and Oriel Kyffin offers exhibitions of national and international significance.
Approach Films produced a short video to showcase Oriel Môn’s museum content, purpose built exhibition spaces and visitors facilities for their new website.
Parc Gwledig Glynllifon
Immerse yourself in history, culture and nature as you explore one of North Wales’s finest parks.
Producing both the video and photography content for this country park saw Approach Films exploring 100 acres of impressive scenery to seek out and show off its hidden pathways, historic ruins and beautiful wildlife.
Working with heritage volunteers, park staff and workshop residents, photographs and a number of short films were created for the park’s relaunch. Our work was used across their new website and social channels to showcase the visitor’s centre and gardens.
